And "ol Hogsanta" is going to tell you how to do it without getting stuck in hours of traffic or walking several miles and fighting the crowds.
First you need a vehicle that will hold a bicycle and a folding camp chair for each person !
Second you need to equip this vehicle with a large cooler and a nice picnic lunch.
Drive to Washington very early about 5-6 P.M., park at Arlington National Cemetary, it has a large lot and there will be parking if you go early enough.
Bicycle with chair and cold drinks down Arlington Bulevard as far as you feel comfortable, park your bikes and enjoy a cold drink and wait for the fireworks.
After the fireworks sit tight, have another cold beverage and wait for the traffic to clear a bit.
Bicycle back to your vehicle, have one more cold drink (restrooms in the parking lot!) and have a light traffic drive home !
