"What you might ask is a Cartoon Liberal? Well in my world, a Cartoon Liberal is simply one who fits all the stereotypes conservatives talk about amongst themselves when they speak of all the ridiculous, ignorant, hateful, narrow-minded, intolerant things liberals occasionally say and do. Things like reflexively defending and supporting each and every politician whose name is followed by a (D). Or mindlessly parroting everything they hear from Rachel Maddow, Keith Olberman, or Bill Maher. Listening religiously to Rachel Maddow, Keith Olberman or Bill Maher, while simultaneously demanding Fox News be taken off the air because it’s “biased.” Accepting human-caused global warming without question, believing all corporations are fundamentally evil, all labor unions are fundamentally virtuous, and all “rich” people stole their wealth from the poor, the Cartoon Liberal absolutely believes all of these things. I would have assumed that Cartoon Liberals were a sort of cultural touchstone, an ideal that couldn’t actually exist in the real world."
